TFOT preview for Sunday August 26: “The Merciful Obtain Mercy” By President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

“When our hearts are filled with the love of God, we become kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving.”

What a wonderful state to be in when we have the love of God, charity, within us!  But, sometimes the very thought may fill us with discouragement, the very idea seeming unattainable.  Yet, bit by bit we can attain it and the mercy it brings.
What seems to make it hard to have a merciful attitude toward someone?
How have you felt when you were able to be merciful to another?
Referring to “Mercy, Merciful” in the Topical Guide brings us a rich source of verses showing us another set of God’s perfect attributes toward us, the conditions often required of us who desire mercy, and the promises to us as we seek to be merciful.
See you in class!

Sisters - don't forget to bring your copy of the talk with you this Sunday.
