Teaching for our Time Lesson Preview

Dear Sisters,
As you read, listen to, or watch Elder Scott’s talk, “The Joy of Redeeming the Dead,” you may find yourself remembering specific feelings or impressions.
Temples are the only places on earth where families can be sealed together forever.  Each individual sealed to his or her family is part of a long and broad chain of humanity leading back to Adam and Eve. Each is part of the eternal family of our Heavenly Father.
Elder Scott refers to an experience by a Sister Blevins, and two from his wife Jeanene regarding preparing the names of ancestors so that they may receive their ordinances in the temple.  Do you have an experience of your own?  Or, you may wish to pick one of the questions below to ponder before class.  Thanks, and see you Sunday!  Please remember to bring a copy of the talk with you.  The talk can be accessed at:

1.       If you have been to the temple for your own ordinances, how has this influenced your desire to do family history work for your ancestors?
2.       If you have not been able to attend the temple for your own ordinances, how do you think engaging in genealogy work prepares you?
3.       If you have been able to be a proxy for your ancestors to receive their temple ordinances, is there something you would like to share about your experience(s)?
