Peanut Butter Snack Bars
3 1/4 cups Kashi Heart to Heart honey toasted oat cereal
2 3/4 cups old-fashioned oats
1 cup unblanched almonds
1/2 cup sunflower kernals
1/4 cup ground flaxseed
1/4 cup uncooked oat bran cereal
1/4 cup wheat bran
1/4 cup flaxseed
3 tablespoons sesame seeds
Combine all these ingredients in a large bowl and set aside for a few minutes.
Combine 2 cups creamy peanut (or other nut) butter
1 1/2 cups honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a small saucepan, combine peanut butter and honey. Cook over medium heat until
peanut butter melted, stirring occasionally. Until well blended. Remove from heat
and stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal mixture; mix well.
Transfer to a greased 15-in. x 10-in cooking sheet. Gently press mixture into pan
spread out evenly and let set for at least one hour. Cut into bars and put bars in
snack bags and store in an airtight container. The amount of bars will depend upon
how big you cut the bars. Delicious
