Sisters,
If you
missed our Relief Society Birthday celebration last night, you missed a fun
evening. We want to thank Sister Harman
for the wonderful meal she provided. You’ll
find the recipes on the recipe section of the blog. And also a thank you to Sister Wine, who
thought to bring some delicious rolls.
We also made
some sugar scrubs to soften your hands, and it works great on your feet as well. It is super easy – here is the basic recipe:
¼ cup brown
sugar
¼ cup white
sugar
Mix and put
into a container (we recommend a plastic one if you plan to keep it in your
shower)
Add olive
oil to cover the sugar plus a little extra – mix and add more oil if you need
to for the consistency you want.
You can swap
out the olive oil for almond oil, coconut oil or grapeseed oil.
You can add
raw sugar instead of the white sugar, or use only white sugar.
Add some
scents – here are some suggestions:
Vanilla
extract
Almond
extract
Peppermint
extract
Any
essential oil
Cinnamon and
nutmeg make it a great facial scrub – just rub softly.
Old
fashioned oats and cinnamon
1T honey and
cinnamon
Lemon juice
Remember the
two core ingredients are sugar and oil.
Use your
imagination and have some fun!
