STAKE YSA Announcements for August 18th

Some upcoming activities:
20 August: Family Home Evening with the Young Single Adults at 7:30 PM at the Eads' house. If there are any changes to the location or special announcements, they will be posted on the facebook page.
21 August: Institute from 7:30-8:30 in the Stake Center's Primary Room. There are usually treats afterwards, last week there was fudge. Who doesn't like fudge?!?
23 August: Sports on Thursday night at Centennial Park. According to a recent announcement by one of our great YSA reps, we should assume that the sports night is always on, and the facebook page will indicate if it's cancelled or perhaps if there is a sport change. To me, this makes a lot of sense but it's a good reminder that in the era when 95% of the YSA have smart phones (except for me because I worry about Skynet becoming self-aware) they can pretty much be updated constantly on any changes to activities via the facebook page. And as a bonus the YSA usually go out for Water Ice afterwards.
Also, a lot of YSA have impromptu trips that are planned on the fly and not necessarily sponsored by the stake but are advertised on facebook (like trips to the beach). I think that's fabulous and some of the best friendships are formed over adventures so please encourage your YSA to become members of the facebook page so we can reach as many people as possible.
